Privacy policy · App 03

Finance Radar privacy, plainly.

Finance Radar tracks your investments and savings so you can spend less time worrying about money. Because it handles financial data, we're especially careful about what we collect, where it's stored, and who can see it.

Last updated: 23 April 2026 · Version 1.0
The short version. Your holdings and savings data are stored securely in Supabase (a managed cloud database). Your ticker symbols are sent to Yahoo Finance and NewsAPI to fetch prices and news. Claude analyses this data to generate signals. We don't sell your data or share it with financial institutions.

Who we are

Finance Radar is operated by Studio Popix ("we", "us"). Questions? Write to hello@studiopopix.com.

What we collect

1. Account — Supabase Auth

You sign in via Supabase Auth, which stores your email address. Authentication is managed by Supabase on their infrastructure (supabase.com/privacy).

2. Investment holdings

You manually enter your stock holdings: ticker symbol, quantity, purchase price, purchase date, currency, market, and optional notes. This data is stored in our Supabase database, scoped to your account using row-level security — no other user or member of our team can read your holdings.

3. Savings accounts

You can enter savings account details: provider name, account type, balance, interest rate, currency, maturity date, and notes. These are stored in the same Supabase database, also under row-level security.

4. Market data — Yahoo Finance

To show current prices and price history, your ticker symbols are sent to the Yahoo Finance API. This is necessary for the service to function. Yahoo Finance receives a list of ticker symbols only — not your quantities, purchase prices, or any identifying information.

5. Financial news — NewsAPI

We use NewsAPI to fetch news relevant to your holdings — querying your ticker symbols and savings providers by name. NewsAPI sees the search terms (e.g. "AAPL" or "Marcus by Goldman Sachs") but not your account identity or portfolio values.

6. AI analysis — Claude

Your holdings and relevant news summaries are sent to Claude (Anthropic's AI) to generate signals and analysis. Claude receives your portfolio data to produce these insights. Data is processed under Anthropic's usage policies (anthropic.com/legal/privacy). We do not use your data to train Anthropic's models.

7. Push notifications

If you subscribe to browser push notifications, your browser generates a push subscription token. This token (which includes a browser endpoint URL) is stored in Supabase and used to deliver alerts to your device. You can revoke this permission in your browser settings at any time.

8. Portfolio history

We calculate and store daily portfolio values to show you performance over time. These snapshots are stored in Supabase under your account.

Where data is stored

All your financial data — holdings, savings, portfolio history, digests, and push subscriptions — is stored in a Supabase-managed PostgreSQL database. Supabase is a reputable managed database provider that operates under ISO 27001 certification and SOC 2 compliance. Row-level security policies mean only you (and server-side processes acting on your behalf) can access your records.
